It's New Years Eve 2010. To paraphrase John Lennon "another year over, a new one just begun."
The first thing I am going to do to begin my Year of Change, is to practise Gratitude.
To be thankful for what I have.
Every. Single. Day.
I do try to live in a grateful mindset most of the time, but its all too easy to allow others negativity in to cloud things.
So I am going to write down at least five things each day that I am grateful for.
Every. Single. Day.
Gratitude is the one thing that all successful people agree on. That they all practise. It is the single most important thing to do, if you want to be successful.
Stop chasing. Start being thankful for everything you do have.
And see what happens.
Each post from here on in will start with my gratitude. Some days it may be the only thing I write about.
But I will write it.
Every. Single. Day.
I am grateful.

The Beginning
I love the feel of an approaching New Year.
Its like you give yourself another chance to get it all right. It's the same feeling I get when starting a new journal - the page is blank until I make my mark upon it.
I'm approaching the start of 2011 differently though. In the past, I've always had the feeling I can make things different, but this year I'm taking action. Something I haven't really done before.
Not only do I have goals, I have already started to action them - and it's only December 2010!
So what do I want from this coming year?
My first tangible goal is to do a 5km fun run. This is happening on January 9th.
I've been training, and I will finish it in 40 minutes or less. That is my goal.
My next goal is to transform my body from flab to FAB!
I am currently undertaking a 12 week Body Blitz, and although my diet needs work (massive action as soon as Christmas is done), I have been going to the gym regularly for a little while now. I'm trying to educate myself about what is good for my body, and what will make it feel best and look best. The Blitz finishes on Feb 18th, and my aim is to get myself into the Women's Health & Fitness magazine as a winner...and hopefully inspire others to give it a go.
I have an idea floating around in my head, that maybe I will train to enter a (body) competition at the end of the year. This isn't really a goal yet, but a seed of a goal :)
Goal number 3 is to be working full-time by the end of January. There are a couple of reasons I want to do this.
One, I want more money, and two, I want to educate myself in how to increase my income and I need the money to do the course.
This course, and the education I will get, excites me beyond belief. I can see the value in it, and can see that it has the potential to completely change my life...and let's face it, that's what my 2011 is all about.
So I want to learn about investing, and how to create an income for myself that I don't need to work 40 hours a week for.
Work smarter, not harder. And that means I have to work harder for 12 - 18 months, but the end goal is always in sight.
Those are my goals for the first two months of this brand new year. As I achieve one, another will take it's place.
By December and even before, I will be able to see the results of the changes I am making, and that's so exciting to me!
The one other thing that I will be doing all year, is immersing myself in positive and motivational reading. Every single day.
The Law of Attraction is awesome, but I need to remember to take action. It's nothing without action.
I will question my beliefs that aren't serving me well, and surround myself with people I want to be like.
So that's it then...a blueprint for 2011.
