My Gratitude

I had a fabulous weekend :)

I'm grateful for a day spent having fun with my girls. We had a beautiful brunch at Mt Tamborine, which is always such a lovely place to go, and had a look around the cute little shops up there, then headed to the Coast. We had such a lot of fun :)

I'm grateful for getting to see the car I'm planning on getting up close. Unfortunately the Peugeot dealership was closed so no test drive, but I had a good look at the 308 cc and I still love it to bits! I'm looking forward to taking it out for a test spin :) It's a very sexy beast!

I'm thankful for an awesome workout at the gym. I felt great after working really hard on my legs and butt! Lol.

I'm grateful for having such amazing friends - I know I've said it before, but I'll keep on saying it because it's true! I'm truly surrounded by the most generous and loving people. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! I love my friends dearly.

I'm thankful for being given the opportunity every single day to create the life I truly want. I'm grateful to know that what I do and think today, creates my tomorrow. There is no fate or luck. I'm in charge. It's a wonderful feeling :)

I love my life.

29th Jan

Something very cool happened this week.

As you know I started my new job. I had decided to take the bus to and from work, thinking that it will be a very long day (due to the limited bus service), but that I could go swimming every afternoon after work.
Then I thought perhaps I could take the earlier bus home, so I would be working from 7.30 to 3.30 - pretty good hours for me. Upon closer inspection the earlier bus doesn't actually go all the way to my place.
I was getting kind of annoyed by this time (Tuesday afternoon), but decided to let it go, relax, and know that something would come along that would work for me.

An hour later, my co-worker came into the office with a lady from another part of the company, who lives out where I do, and she offered to drive me to and from work every day!
It works out great. I have more time, and she has more money, which she is needing right now.
How perfect is that?

It get's better though. This lady is lovely, we get on great and she is into the Law of Attraction and positive thinking too. So on our drives to and from work, we listen to CD's to keep ourselves motivated and positive - it's an awesome way to start the day! Although the job is just a job, I feel that something really great has come out of it already and it's only week one :)

My Gratitude

I have so much to be grateful for, and although I'm not getting it down here every day, believe me, I'm still floating about the day in a state of thankfulness for all the fabulous things in my life!

Today I'm grateful for attracting to me the things I needed this week (example above!) The week has really just flowed along, with no dramas, and everyone in my household has been happy and getting along - which we usually do now that I think about it! Lol.

I'm grateful for the opportunities that are starting to flow into my life, now that I am opening up to them. I'm grateful for realising how easy it is to create my own opportunites.
I know I can ask others for what I want, if they say no, that's ok too. I'm not taking it personally or letting fear (of rejection) stop me from asking.

I'm grateful for feeling so positive all the time! I feel so great, really. Nothing super wonderful has happened...although, I think the change in my thoughts and attitude is kind of super wonderful, so...I have more energy, more bounce, and more to give :)

I'm grateful for money in the bank, food on the table, a roof over my head. In reality I have so much more than that, but I'm so thankful to have my basic needs met.

I'm grateful that it's the weekend! :) I'm going to read some, catch up with a couple of friends, and just enjoy what I have in my life. It's a sunny day with gloriously blue skies out this morning - my heart just lifts when I see it!

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend too...

My Gratitude

Happy Australia Day!!
Today I'm very, very grateful thatI live in this wonderful country I adopted. I love it here.
The people, the beaches, the lifestyle - it's all quite marvellous. I feel very belssed and extremely lucky :)

I'm grateful for my not so little boy. My son Harry turned 14 yesterday, and I can't believe he's growing up so fast. He is my youngest, and lives in NZ with his dad, so I don't get to see him as much as I would like to. It also means that when I do see him he is another foot taller every time! Lol.
He's a lovely boy though, and I can't wait to see him at Easter!

I'm feeling very very grateful for the knowledge that our thoughts create our lives. It has struck me more so this week, returning to an office environnment. I'm thankful that I can remove myself from the negativity that most people carry around with them. I will just keep shining and carry on! :)

I'm thankful to be spending time with my family today. We always have loads of fun when we get together, and who else would I rather celebrate Australia Day with!

I'm grateful that Brooklyn has started her last year of school. It's exciting for her, and for me too. Once she finishes up this year we are moving to the beach and I'm giddy like a schoolgirl over that thought! Lol.
I may be biased here, but I think I just might have the three best kids ever...

My Gratitude

This weekend I'm grateful for lots of things...

Having a day out with my girls - lots of chocolate at Max Brenner's then off to the movies to see Burlesque. We all loved the movie, and it was a great girl's day out!

Sleeping well. I love my bed (I may have mentioned this before) and I look forward to the end of the day when I can sink into it and drift off to sleep with happy thoughts and visualisations.

Having dinner cooked for me tonight by Gabbie. A beautiful spaghetti meal with lots of parmesan - yummo!

Summer. I'm lucky enough to live in a glorious country, and although it gets hot, I love the blue, blue skies and the sunlight. I also appreciate the choice of air-conditioning (which I only use when it gets completely unbearable, which isn't often), and ceiling fans are also a fabulous invention.

I'm grateful for being surrounded by fun, happy people. It's just how I want to live :)

_______________________________________________________

Wow, only 8 more sleeps and January is over! It has made me think and take stock of what has been going on with my life this month, and started me looking forward to my goals for February.

So this month I started it all with a mini holiday, ran in my first 5 kilometre fun run - in the time I wanted, secured a full-time job, decluttered my pantry, and made a vision board (actually I made three - a real one and two online).
I've read about six books (all positive), made a fair few new friends, went to a training course, joined an online Mastermind Group, went to the movies, booked in my first Body Shop party, and gave myself the first pedicure of 2011 :)
I've been out for lunch a couple of times, had some awesome telephone conversations with friends, I've been to the beach, and to the library, and remembered to feel grateful every day. I spent time with my nephew, my sister, and my lovely daughters, celebrated my mum's birthday, and will remember my son's birthday in a couple of days too.
I've spent January positive, focused, motivated and eager to learn!

What's ahead for February then? More of the same and then some!

My goals are:

To run a whole 5 km (I'm currently having to walk some of it!).
To hold at least five Body Shop parties with total sales over $3500.
To sponsor at least one person into Body Shop At Home and give them the opportunity to earn some extra money.
To do my new job well and earn an extra 20% in commission on top of my wages.
To keep studying trading.
To read four positive motivational books. (I have an hour+ bus journey each morning and night..plenty of time to read!).
To save 15% of my income from all sources.
To get up at 4am on weekday mornings to go to the gym.
To go to the pool every day after work to swim laps.
To finish my Body Blitz on a winning note!
To take my lunch to work every day - healthy and cheap!

Bring it on!!

20th Jan

My Gratitude

I'm grateful for a day spent learning new things and getting me fired up to create a successful business in 2011. I'm excited to be starting a full-time job, plus starting a business with The Body Shop at Home. I love Body Shop products, so it won't be difficult to be playing with them all the time!

I'm thankful for the opportunities that get offered to me. I have awesome friends who think of me, and it makes me feel that I am very blessed.

I'm grateful that I'm becoming more adventurous. I like that there are things I will do now that I wouldn't have even considered six months ago.

I'm grateful for sunny mornings filled with birdsong. Getting out of bed is bliss on days like this.

I'm thankful for a day well-spent, new friends made, and everyone happy.

19th Jan

My Gratitude

Today I think I'm most grateful for my growing confidence in myself and my abilities to create the life I dream of.  Life is just getting better and better every day, and I am feeling a little in awe of just how great it is when you can get into the right mindset.
Much, much gratitude for those who come along to teach me.

I'm grateful for the time I got to spend with my four year old nephew today. He is such a cutie and growing up so fast - he starts Prep School on Monday! My sister can't quite believe it either I don't think :)

I'm thankful that Brooke had a great time at Dreamworld with her friends today and got home nice and safe :) It's always a little scary as a parent when your child is out with friends who can drive now! More kids who have grown up so fast. Lol.

I'm grateful for the simple fact that it's raining and I have no laundry on the clothesline.

I'm thankful that I'm learning (slowly, slowly) the art of organising my life. It's taken me a while, but my mother says we are late bloomers in our family!

Just feeling that life is awesome today.

18th Jan

18 days and two goals down! Life is good!!

My Gratitude

Today I am very grateful to have secured myself that full-time job I was after by the end of January. I applied onine yesterday, got a call this morning, went for an interview this afternoon and was offered the position on the spot. Not a bad days work I'd say!
I will be working in sales for a removal company - work I have done before, and it still surprises me how good I am at it. I had always thought I was a lousy salesperson, but I'm not! Anyway, I am thankful for the work.

I'm grateful that I made it safely home while driving through a horrendous storm this afternoon. Lightning, thunder, hail and torrential rain. Not fun, but myself and the car are fine.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to meet new people all the time - the internet is such a great tool for connecting with people! I love making new friends :)

Although my head is telling me that I should be at the gym, I'm grateful my body knows better. For some reason I am feeling exhausted and just can't face the thought of a workout today. I think it's good to have a rest occasionally, to make sure the body doesn't get overworked...and I'm thankful too for my great run time from last night!

I'm grateful to be sitting here writing this while my gorgeous younger daughter cooks dinner for me. Nuf said!

17th Jan

Oh dear..I lost a couple of days over the weekend!
That's ok, I'm not going to stress...life is meant for living, and I can always blog a day or so late.

So we are into week three of the New Year, and I have to say, things are going well for me. I'm so much more positive these days, which I personally find great - hopefully those who are around me on a regular basis are feeling the love too! Lol.

I am on a 31 day mission to raise my energy. To do this there are some things I am doing every day - things that make me feel fabulous, like meditation, gratitude, listening to (and singing along to) music I love, exercising, eating clean, reading/listening to positive motivation and cleaning and decluttering my home.
Other things I can do are bathing by candlelight (a personal favourite!) going to the beach for some fresh sea air (which also keeps me on track for my goal of moving there at the end of the year), and spending time with amazing people.

I spent a little time at one of my favourite beaches yesterday afternoon - the energy is so great and uplifting! I forget how much I love the beach sometimes...living so far from the coast can be hard.

But anyway, on to...

My Gratitude

Today I'm so thankful to have Brooklyn safely back home with us. She is such a happy soul, and both Gabbie and I miss her when she isn't here - and we probably appreciate her more after she's been a way for a while! She is still adjusting back to Australian time - it's quite unnerving to see her up so early in the morning! Lol...not like her at all. But it's good to see her appetite hasn't diminished - she is still eating everything in sight.

I'm thankful I got to spend some time at the beach yesterday. I have been making a Vision Board, and I realised that I didn't have my beachside home on there!
I just love the energy there - so many people taking advantage of the glorious weather and setting to walk, cycle or jog along the beachfront path. A great place to watch the world go by, and I can't wait to be living there and experiencing it every day!

I'm grateful for a Saturday night spent watching movies with Gabbie and her best friend. Both utterly gorgeous girls and it was a relaxing and pleasant way to spend some time.

I'm thankful for waking up on this Monday morning to a beautiful sunny day - just perfect for anything we choose to do!

I'm grateful to be living in a country full of generous annd giving folk. People have been amazing after these floods, giving so much - not just money and things, but their time to help clean up. It is a beautiful thing to see, and it restores my faith in human nature.

14th Jan

My Gratitude

I'm grateful for libraries. And books.
I love to read. If I had to buy all the books I read, I would have nothing else. Nowadays the only books I buy are positive, motivational types that I will read over and over. Fiction is actually off the reading list this year, as I can spend way too much time buried in someone elses world, and this year it's all about MY world!

I'm thankful for long phone calls with friends.
The internet is great, don't get me wrong, but there is nothing like really connecting with people, and if I can't see them in person, a phone call is the next best thing! You can convey more in a call and delve deeper into subjects than you ever can with email or text.
Did I mention I really love my friends?

I'm grateful for a beautiful, fine day. It meant I could get out and hang my laundry on the clothesline - one of my favourite things to do, and the only way I have of getting my laundry dry. I do not own a clothes dryer and at this stage don't have any intention of getting one. (I feel quite smug about this.)  Give me sunshine anyday!

I'm grateful for a body that does what I ask it to. I am just enjoying running so much at the moment. It makes me feel great. I can also train to make my body stronger, faster, leaner. Doesn't get much better than that.

I'm grateful for hot showers. Even in the height of summer I like my showers warm. I'm just not a cold shower kind of gal.

13th Jan

Although this is Thursday's post, I'm actually writing this early Friday morning...went to bed very early last night and just plain forgot to blog!

My Gratitude

I'm feeling very thankful that the sun is out and flood waters in Brisbane at least, are starting to slowly recede. There is going to be a massive clean up needed, but it is heart-warming to see how people are pulling together at this time.

I'm grateful for time at home by myself so I can crank up the music and pretend I'm a rock star! Lol.
I love the way music raises my energy. And singing along at the top of my lungs is just the best. The neighbours may not like it, but I'm going to do this more often!

I'm thankful for the book I'm currently reading "What I Didn't Learn At School But Wish I Had" by Jamie McIntyre. Another successful person sharing knowledge and strategies to improve my life, and assist me in this, my year of change.

I'm grateful for my home. I probably don't mention this one often enough. I'm lucky to live in a lovely 4 bedroom house, with 2 living areas, 2 bathrooms and all the mod cons. I have the best landlord, who comes and mows the lawns and keeps the yard looking beautiful, and I so appreciate all of this every day.

I'm grateful that Brooke is coming home in two days! She has been in NZ for a month, and I'm looking forward to having her home again. We have missed her.

12th Jan

I probably shouldn't be so focused on all the devastation happening here in Queensland, what with the Law of Attraction and all, but when something like this is on your doorstep it's pretty hard to ignore.
It has been going on for days - no, weeks - and it isn't over yet, with the Brisbane river yet to reach peak levels.

I have been watching footage on the television this afternoon of the city and suburbs. Aerial footage, which just slams it home in no uncertain terms how much water there is and how many properties and people affected.

There is one thing I have learned from this disaster.
Although I was born in another country, I chose to make this place my home.
Queensland is my home, and Brisbane is my city. My children grew up here. We love this place with a passion...I'm devastated to see this beautiful city under water, but I know she'll bounce back better than ever.

So here is my truth.
I'm no longer from New Zealand.
I am a Queenslander.

And I can't describe how much gratitude I feel for that today.

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

11th Jan

Oh my...so much devastation with the floods here in Queensland.
My heart and prayers go out to all those who have lost loved ones, homes, pets, income. It is so, so sad.
Please join with me in praying that those who are still missing are safe.

My Gratitude

I am so grateful that myself and my family and friends are all safe and well. Although the worst is not yet over in Brisbane and surrounds, so far, all is well in my Universe. I am thankful that my home isn't threatened by rising flood waters, and that the rain seems to be easing a little tonight.

I am grateful for all my caring friends on Facebook and the sharing of information to help people know what has been happening over the course of the day today.
The Queensland Police website has been truly fantastic also.

I'm grateful for two great books received in the post today from a friend...more assistance on meeting my goals for the year!

I'm thankful for my lovely family and friends and for having a great support network in my life. It's nice to know these people are always there for me if I need them.

I'm grateful for my bed.
I love my bed.

10th Jan

My Gratitude

Helloo my lovelies!
Once again, I have lots to be grateful for today, so here goes...

I'm thankful for the gym. Yes I truly am! Sometimes it can take a bit to get me there, but I always leave feeling better than when I went in!
Over the Xmas break I went once in 2 1/2 weeks, and I was feeling very de-motivated. I'm now back into the swing of it, and although I may be hurting a teensy little bit, I'm feeling pretty fantastic and well on my way to winning that Body Blitz Challenge next month!!

I'm grateful for vision boards. I think they are such a powerful tool in manifesting the things we want.
Today Gabbie and I spent time putting our 2011 boards together...it's exciting to see what is on there and know that it will soon be here for real!
On mine, I have lots of health and fitness, trading and money, and a few cool little gadgets I would like (an e-reader and food processor top of the list). I've also put a few lovely pics of France :) would be a nice holiday I think...and I'm a desperate Francophile.

I'm thankful that we aren't too badly flooded here where I live...there is certainly plenty of water around, but we are nowhere near to the awful floods up in the north of Queensland and over in Western Australia. My heart goes out to all those affected, and I will keep giving thanks that we are safe.

I'm grateful for fresh fruit and veges. Now that I'm back on track for my heath and fitness goals, I am loving the gorgeous, colourful salads I can put together for my dinner, and the scrumptious summer fruits I can eat for snacks and dessert...I think tonight it will be a moroccan chicken salad with some wild rice and a beautiful peach to finish off...mmmmmm.

I'm extremely grateful to a good friend, one who is doing everything he can to help me with one of my goals for 2011. He's a pretty great person, and it also happens to be his birthday today. I don't know if he reads this but just in case...Happy Birthday Duane!
Thanks for keeping me on track and kicking my butt when I need it - you rock ;)

9th Jan

I am feeling fantastic today my friends!
Why?
Because my first goal for the year has been achieved!
This morning I woke at 5am, made myself a substantial breakfast of oatbran and banana, and headed out into the inclement weather to participate in my very first fun run.
I had a ball! I had a goal time that I wanted to run my 5 kilometres in, and I achieved it, I got to talk to some really lovely, positive and motivated people, and even made a new friend! A morning well-spent I'd say.
And afterwards I called in to see my lovely friends Linda and Pieter who made me the most divine organic salad (with the best smoked salmon I have ever tasted) for lunch...life is great!

I am now planning more races, and more training. I want to improve my time, and my distance - need to be running a fast 10k, because I discovered this morning that is where all the hot guys are! LOL.
I'm even thinking about trying to start a running group here in my little town - will put some feelers out and see what sort of interest is out there.

And so, on to....

My Gratitude

Obviously my first one is that I'm grateful to have achieved my first goal for 2011. It's the best feeling, especially so soon into the year.

Related to the first, I'm grateful it was cool and drizzly while I was running, and that the downpours were before and after my run!

I'm very thankful for coming home to a lovely clean kitchen, thanks to the delightful Gabbie. One less thing I have to do today!

I'm going to be grateful for all this rain we have been having - if only for the excuse to stay at home all cozy and snuggly.

I'm thankful on Miss Brooklyn's behalf that she has made the U19's Premier League netball team.Well done Brooke - have a kick-butt year with your new coach!

8th Jan

Can you believe we are into the second week of the new year already? Goodness, time really does fly when you're having fun!

My Gratitude

I'm so thankful that even after nearly 3 weeks of not going to the gym, I can still run 5k's without feeling too much pain. Which is good because tomorrow I am running in my very first fun run! Very excited to be hitting my first goal of the year. I have already started to look for the next one, and am looking to build on that 5k's slowly but surely.

I'm grateful for my 42" plasma tv, my dvd player and my very comfy couch for turning my lounge room into my very favourite place to watch movies. Add some pillows, a quilt to snuggle under and a snack and it's very close to heaven! I love to watch movies...funny, romantic, action, and especially old Hollywood musicals (I've said it before I know, but bring back Gene Kelly, Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire!). It's so satisfying to be able to drift away into another world for a couple of hours.

I'm grateful that in only one week and one day, my younger daughter is returning from her month-long sojourn to NZ. Every Christmas time she heads off to visit her father and brother, and it gets v e r y quiet around here! I enjoy the peace but am definitely looking forward to having her home. She has a personality all her own.

I'm also very grateful to my ex for doing such a good job of raising our son. Harry has been living with him for three years now, and he is so settled and happy. Although I miss Harry always, I know he is in the best place for him right now. And I can't wait for him to come visit again...

I'm thankful for the gadgets that bring me joy. My computer, sewing machine, washing machine (when it's not raining, I love doing laundry...I hope it stops raining soon), dishwasher (because in all weather I loathe doing the dishes), and mobile phone. Oh and the hot water heater. Hot water is superb. And I know they aren't gadgets and I hate doing dishes, but I really love tea-towels.
These things generally rock my world, and make my life ever so slightly lovelier.

Jan 7th

My Gratitude

Let's see...
Today I am grateful for a lovely night in at home last night with my sweet eldest daughter, watching movies and sharing a cheese and fruit platter. It just reinforced to me how much I enjoy my home and those who share it with me.

I am also extremely grateful to have mobile phone reception! I did without my phone for 10 days while I was house sitting - something of a record for me.  Now I'm home I can catch up with my favourite people :)

I'm thankful for feeling like I'm re-discovering who I am, the things I love and those little things that make me feel joy and smile with delight. Things like mis-matched vintage crockery and cutlery, candles that smell goooood,  vintage linens, pretty things, beautiful words. And now all I have to do is reconcile that, with the girl who wants to make bucketloads of money...easy! Lol.

I'm grateful for my friends. I may be biased but I happen to think I have the best friends in the world. They are scattered all over the place, but I love being connected with them. They make me laugh, they frustrate me, they teach me, they support me, they push me, they always tell me what they think whether I want to hear it or not, they accept me, they love me, and they are always there for me.
Some I have been friends with for more years than I care to remember, some I have met recently, some I haven't met at all except through an internet connection. It doesn't matter though, they are all pretty darn fantastic.
Could I ask for anything more? I don't think so.

And today I'm grateful for another day to learn new things. As always.

6th Jan

My Gratitude

Well, I'm trying very hard to be grateful for all the rain :)
The bright spot in this is surely we can't be in a drought anymore? I can have a nice long shower without guilt!

I'm ever so thankful to be at home. Sweet home! So thankful that I am giving her a spruce up and rearranging things - one of my favourite past-times. I will go out and buy some flowers later to say thank you for this lovely roof over my head.

I'm grateful for music. It's something that can change my mood instantly - and always for the better. Today I'm loving Lisa Mitchell, John Mayer, Kate Ceberano, Madeleine Peyroux, Pink Martini and the extremely groovy Jason Mraz.

I'm grateful for lots of scrumptious fabric waiting to be made into gorgeous quilts. And even more grateful for the urge to embroider and sew. Must pick up my machine from the doctor before the urge leaves again!

I'm thankful that I'll be sleeping in my own beautiful bed tonight. I love my bed, it's one of my favourite places to be. I sleep in it, read in it, dream in it, write in it. I don't do computery stuff in it though, because I like my bedroom to be more of a boudoir (did you know it means 'sulking room') and so don't take technology in there. There's always plenty of books and candles though. *sigh*
Maybe I'll have a nap, just to remind me how wonderful it really is...

5th Jan

My Gratitude

I'm so thankful and looking forward to going home tomorrow! I certainly haven't appreciated my home as much as I should have and this time away has given me a new perspective, which is nice.

I'm grateful for my kids. They are pretty amazing, and I probably don't tell them that nearly enough. But I appreciate how well they get on together and with me - gotta love a harmonious family life :)

I'm so very grateful to the wonderful people who choose to share their strategies for success. There are some fantastic authors and bloggers and just plain lovely people out there who are selflessly giving of themselves to help others achieve their goals.

I'm thankful for the internet. For the friendships and connections that develop online. For the information at my fingertips. For the opportunities it provides. Awesome stuff.

I'm grateful for my creativity. I may not nurture it as much as I would like, but it's always there in the background if I need it, and when I call on it, provides me with some beautiful ideas.

4th Jan

Seems like a quieter time today - the huge excitement of the first couple of days of the year have settled down a little. I need to ensure I keep my momentum going.

My Gratitude

After giving thanks for coffee yesterday, I have run out of beans, so I am going to take this opportunity to be grateful for having to drink green tea instead. So many benefits and I love how refreshing it is.

I am extremely grateful for receiving a copy of Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich." Although I have listened to it on ipod, I really wanted a copy to refer to whenever I feel the need, and my delightful daughter bought me the book as a belated Christmas present. I love Napoleon Hill, he was an amazing person!

I'm thankful that it has stopped raining for now, and although it is overcast, it's not too hot and humid, and there is a little breeze.

I'm grateful to have my senses. I can see, hear, smell, touch and taste, as well as feel with my heart. I have my own fully-functioning guidance system and as long as I listen to that I will never go wrong. It's so good to know that we come into this world equipped with everything we need to make our lifes memorable and amazing, we just have to remember to trust in ourselves.

I'm thankful that right now I'm having an internal argument with myself - the real me is telling my ego that I AM good enough and I CAN do the things I want to do. I'm not a fraud for wanting to be successful and inspirational.
I love the real me! Ego, you can go jump!

Jan 3rd

Wow. I can't believe we are only three days into the year. It feels like so much has happened already!

But first, My Gratitude

Today I am so thankful for being shown that my thoughts create my life. I have skirted around this for a long time now, knowing it, but maybe not believing it. Now I have turned it into a belief the benefits are flowing thick and fast! I have never felt better about my life, and my life has never felt better - it's a beautiful circle.

I am grateful that in only three more days I get to go home. I have been house sitting since the 21st of December, and it has been so lovely to have such a long time to myself, to reflect and work on my head, but I'm looking forward to being back in my own space and getting stuck into some work. Roll on Thursday!

I'm incredibly grateful to have somehow managed to become a part of AIM2011 led by the lovely Sarah Prout. This is a mastermind group of some of the most positive, motivated and talented women I have come across on the net! I know I will benefit from just basking in their combined glory :) Sarah herself is an inspiration, and I am extremely thankful to have stumbled across her.

I am grateful for good coffee. Nothing further needs to be said on that one.

I am so grateful for good friends. The exchange of ideas and energies and the sharing of love I have with those people closest to me is as essential as breathing to me.

You may call me Miss Manifest!
I am completely amazed that only two days ago I wrote my list of things I want to have come into my life for this year. Mostly with no idea what, where or how those things were going to happen.
One of my goals is "to inspire, motivate and assist women to create their best lives."
This is the biggest thing on my list to me, and the one I had the least idea about. All I know is that it's something I'm passionate about.
Well, yesterday I was chatting to a good friend, who has asked me to be her coach/motivator to help her achieve her weight-loss goal. She said I inspired her to do something about it and she is so ready for the change.
I'm super excited about this! And not just because I get to start on my way towards my big goal for the year, but because she is my friend, and I get to help her.
I'm feeling challenged and pumped and can't wait to get to work on this - I know that this is the start of a whole new life for her and I'm so privileged that she asked me to come along on her journey.

So, three days into the new year and it's going GREAT! I am loving this so much...bring me more!

January 2nd

My Gratitude

I slept in this morning, and woke up to the sounds of...the country. It was lovely to hear the crickets and frogs (it had been raining last night), and not to hear any cars, trucks or people.
This morning I am feeling so thankful for the books I read. I am currently reading The Vortex by Esther & Jerry Hicks, and I am grateful to be getting so much from it - some real 'aha' moments, and lots of feeling wonderful too!
I couldn't go very far into a new year without putting down in words the joy I get from my children. They are truly wonderful kids and I am so blessed to have them in my life. I'm not a perfect mother by any  means, but they accept me and love me anyway.
I am also grateful to have some incredible friends. Each and every one of them is different, but they all enrich my life to an amazing degree. I'm looking forward to sharing more with them this year, and welcoming new friends into my life also.
And finally this morning I am thankful for the feeling of utter well-being that is flowing through me. It's truly marvellous to experience, and I will be holding on to it for the rest of my life!

I am happy to report that life is starting to flow. I am taking small steps to action my big dreams, and I am trusting that what is coming into my life is exactly what I need.
I am keeping my thoughts and words positive and staying in the frame of mind I need and want to be in.
I feel as if I am finally starting to "get' it! It's an exciting time..very soon I will see some tangible results of my powerful thoughts. In the meantime I will keep those thoughts positive and happy - for no other reason than it makes me feel great!

Happy New Year!

So it begins.
My year of change. In truth it began much earlier, when I made the decision to change my life. And already I have expanded my paradigm, and I am excited for the huge expansion that I know (and feel) is coming over the next 12 months.
Onward and upwards and forever happy!

First things first...

My Gratitude.

This morning I am feeling so thankful for so many things. That I have woken up with another opportunity to make this day count. That I have an amazing, creative mind. That I have been given the chance to spend some time with myself, to begin to discover what I really really want out of my life. That when I look around there are so many wonderful people willing to share their knowledge. That I understand I need to surround myself with the people I wish to be like. That the people I wish to be like are happy to allow me into their lives.
I am in awe of the power of the human mind today. Completely. I love that so many people are excited and positive about their futures today. I can't wait to see where this year will lead the ones closest to me.

Today being the first day of the year I am going to write a list of what I want from this 12 months worth of brand new slate I have been given. (This could be a long list!)

My Hopes, Dreams and Goals for 2011.

To learn how to day trade. I want to learn about eminis trading and forex trading. I want this to become one of my large sources of income this year.

To become a respected blogger with lots of followers. I will blog every day both here and at Seaside Magic.

To inspire, motivate and assist women to create their best lives. I am especially interested in reaching single mothers on welfare and teaching them that there are better choices.

To create multiple streams of passive income. At least 3 by the end of this year. I want to earn $150,000 this year.

To have $50,000 in my investment bank by the end of the year.

To live a wealthy and abundant lifestyle.

To move to the beach at the end of the year.

To own a red Peugeot 308cc convertible :) zoom zoom!

To be in a healthy, happy and loving relationship with a wonderful man who accepts me for who I am.

To be a positive and motivated person. I will remember that I can control the way I feel. I will act, not react.

To take action on my dreams and create my best, most abundant life!

To read or listen to something positive or motivating every single day. To practise Gratitude every single day.

To treat my body the way it needs to be treated to allow me to live my best life. I will eat well and exercise.

To run 5km in under 30 minutes.

To run a 10km race.

To weight train at least twice a week.

It feels good to think about what I want from this year and to write it down. And it's now out there for everyone to see. Bring it on!
